You have access to two ranches—our ranch and the Paul Pound Ranch, which is Branda’s family ranch managed by Duane and Wynona Bolton. It is located between Valentine and Thedford. You can go hiking, horseback riding, or hunting for deer (whitetail or mule), all kinds of birds (grouse, pheasant, dove, and turkey), and prairie dogs. If you like the water world, the Calamus Dam; Merritt Dam; Niobrara, Middle Loup, and Dismal Rivers; and some small private lakes are within an hour's drive.

These wide, open spaces give you a great view of the sky for all of you "star gazers.” You can join the large group at Merritt Dam or you can have your own secluded viewing at our ranches.

You can stay here at our Ranch in our new two-bedroom cabin that is attached to the 175 x 80 indoor riding arena or at the Paul Pound Ranch in the bunkhouse. If you want you can bring your camper or trailer and just camp out on the prairie. Electricity is available, and we have pens for your horses. If you do not own your own horses, we can provide you with a gentle mount. You and your horses can also get a relaxing massage during your stay, as Branda is also a licensed massage therapist, for you and your equine companion.
